Our existing IT was approximately 5 years old , this was also the case of most of the software so we needed to replace everything, as we have no dedicated IT professional at work, much reliance was placed upon ProNet Computers to draw from us our needs and also specify a “future proof” system capable of lasting at least another 5 years.
From the outset ProNet set about finding our needs and then matching this to a new IT system. This was done in a professional and structured way. As a result I was able to meet all end users aspirations, whist keeping within the budget.
We had a total of 26 pc’s, 5 servers, upgrade of network switches and the addition of Wireless networking within a large footprint, not to mention new software.
I am pleased to say that deliver, installation and commissioning all occurred within the anticipated timescales with no un planned loss of our network. this meant that the changeover was a painless process. This was particularly important given the fact that we are a 24/7 operation and some systems were vital to allow continued and safe operation of our core business.
Part way through the project we had a change of account manager, however this did not negatively impact on the project, in fact if anything communication improved.
Overall we were extremely impressed (despite our apprehension to such a large scale change) with ProNet’s management of this project.
